Giorgos Mitsakis (1924-1993) is considered considered in the state of one of the most important composers of grecian rebetika and folk (laika) songs (in company with Markos Vamvakaris, Vasilis Tsitsanis and Yiannis Papaioannou). He was a talented songwriter, bouzouki virtuozo and singer and left sundry hundreds of great songs that remained familiar till today. This excellent double CD contains 36 much loved songs of Giorgos Mitsakis with their primordial interpreters. In all songs, Mitsakis plays his "clean" bouzouki and offers a unique melodious experience. Enjoy a real gem.
